Battle Islands – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Battle Islands is a new strategy battle game for the iOS and Android platform. The gameplay is fairly similar to Clash of Clans, but with an island setting and WWII-esque weapons and defenses, there are plenty of gameplay differences. Your goal is to grow your island fortress from a small encampment into a huge and well-defended base. Read on for some tips and tricks for Battle Islands!

Your main method of defending your base is by building howitzers, machine guns and other defenses, but you can also fortify every single individual building that you build by tapping the building and hitting the “fortify” option. In addition, keep all of your most important buildings, especially the supply depot, away from the shores and keep them towards the center of your biggest island.

Supplies are your only main currency, and thus it’s important to have your factories constantly producing, so make sure that your factories get upgraded and that you have the maximum amount of possible factories on your islands, as well as upgraded supply depots so that you can hold many at once.

Getting supplies from battle is easy, especially if you are battling against other players. Even if you are low on supplies you can still train a number of riflemen, go after the lowest-level player on the “enemies” list, and raid supplies. If your enemies are too tough, intentionally lose some battles with the least expenditure possible (by training and sending in an intentionally low number of troops)to decrease your rank (which is measured in dog tags). Your match ups come by rank, meaning that if your rank drops, you will be matched against easier enemies.

Try to save your gold if you can by keeping busy while your buildings are being constructed. Always have more trainng going on in your barracks while you are in the middle of one battle, so that you can have troops trained up and ready for the next battle. Send in as few troops as possible (but enough to win still), because any troop that you send in is lost, whether they are killed or not.

Use the “promote” feature of your command bunker to upgrade your favorite troops, especially if you want to simply battle without putting much thought into it. This, combined with upgrading and maximizing your bunkers (so that you can send in more troops) will win you most battles.
