Battle Run is a new real time multiplayer running game similar to Fun Run, by the same folks who created Beat the Boss and Beat the Boss 2. In fact, The Boss is actually present as a character in this game. The goal, of course, is to beat the four other people who you are racing against, which can be done by using weapons, avoiding traps and other weapons, jumping and running as fast as you can. The various obstacles, such as the spikes and the reverse conveyor belts, can be extremely annoying and ruin your best efforts, even when you jump, so be aware that you can do a double jump in order to avoid them. To do this, simply jump and then jump again in mid air. If you want lots of airtime, wait until your character is on the downward trajectory til you jump.

You can maximize the amount of coins that you earn by maximizing your stars in each stage, since each 10 stars that you pick up will net you 1 coin at the end of the round. However you get even bigger star bonuses from placing in first or second, so add these together and soon you’ll earn enough to buy some good upgrades.
Right now, the only upgrades that you get that actually have a performance benefit are the new characters. They don’t run any slower or faster than your beginning character, but they do have a different set of power ups that they can pick up. The new power ups (especially for the more expensive characters) will generally be more effective than the ones for your starting characters.
Play as often as you can and rack up the level ups if you want to earn more gems. Each time that you gain a level, you will earn more free gems. Gems can be used on quick level ups for your character.
If the game is loading slowly or keeps booting you off, try playing at night time or some other time that’s not considered peak hours. Or try playing sometime between 9:00 AM and noon, since people are likely to be working at that time, and thus the servers will be less full.
