Big Business Deluxe is the iOS and Android sequel to the original Big Business on Facebook, which marketed itself as the “intelligent” alternative to Zynga’s CityVille at the time. BBD takes the concept of the original and expands it, giving you even more to do, along with updated graphics, new characters and a massive amount of stuff to do, but not so much as to be overwhelming to the average player. There’s a lot to do that doesn’t take a whole lot of time to complete in this game, but there are plenty of jobs, especially later on, that take forever to complete, such as more expensive construction jobs, and lucrative contracts at heavily-updated industrial buildings. You either have to wait for them to finish or you can spend city cash to circumvent the waiting period.
Or, you can do it for free by setting the time ahead on your phone or tablet, whichever device you use to play the game. Set it ahead by however long it takes to complete the longest job or construction project that you have going, then go back to the game and collect all of your goods. After you do that, you can set the time back to normal, and then repeat the trick as many times as you please.
The “friends” tab is key to playing this game, as many of the items that you need in order to advance forward, for things such as upgrades, can only be received by asking your friends. Go to the friends tab, and start finding people who appear to have named their cities after themselves (or as an “un-citylike” name). Changes are, they probably gave their city the same name as themselves, so type their names in to check. Other ways to make friends fast include looking for “add me” requests on this article, Facebook or the App Store review page (or posting your own so other people can add you).
Just like other Game Insight games such as 2020: My Country, you can expand your territory into areas which already have buildings that can be repaired. Look out into the open areas and plan ahead before you start expanding, so that you can expand to areas such as bridges, the old chest full of treasure, the old quarry and the airport terminal.
When you visit randoms in the community area and help them out, it speeds up the completion time on any job that they are doing. The same thing will happen for you when randoms and friends visit you. Increase your social rating (the one-through-five hearts meter) to pop up higher on other people’s community lists, and to pop up more frequently, increasing the chances of you getting the first visit by random people, earning more bonuses and having your jobs completed quickly.
