After going to the app and seeing your energy refill, you can set the time back to normal if you want to. If you do this without closing out the app first, though, then you will cause the “rejuvenation time” for your energy to screw up and reflect the amount of time that you cheated. So close out the app and set the time back to normal when you have a full load of energy, and then re-open the app and everything will be back to normal.

The time cheat can also be applied to when you fail a criminal job and have to have a “cool down” time. Each criminal job has a different cool down time – for example, the car theft job in the East Sleeze area has a 45 minute time if you fail, while the ruby heist job in the Royal Hills area has a two hour cooldown time.
This is where the “unlimited money” trick comes in. Pick any one of the criminal jobs that you want to. Then, whenever you fail, go to the date and time settings and knock off the cool down time. Do this over and over again to keep earning money. The ruby job has such as high change of failing that it’s almost worthless to do it on this job, but any of the other three are good choices.
Plus, you have a number of legit jobs that you can do, and you can knock off the cool down time here. The Formula One Team job and the Research Unit job are the two jobs that last the longest and earn the most cash – two minutes for 450 dollars. You can time cheat these, but the other legit jobs are so short that they will be done by the time you finish setting the time ahead.
