Colosseum Defense Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, cheats and strategies

Colosseum Defense is a new tower defense game by Gamevil Inc. Unlike many other tower defense games, however, rather than letting out an army against the enemies who are trying to attack your castle, you play merely as one warrior who is sitting on the castle walls, armed with an impossibly heavy amount of artillery and weapons, defending against absurd quantities of zombies, goblins and other sorts of nasties, while using magic spells to help as well. It’s the “1 vs 100” of tower defense games. Read on for some tips and tricks for Colosseum Defense!

Right when you unlock the ability to buy new weapons, buy the steel bomb and start using it as often as possible. The steel bomb has a big blast radius, and when you let off a magnum shot (critical hit), the blast radius will take up almost the entire screen! It especially works well for when the massive horde of enemies appears toward the end of the battle.

Once you can upgrade statistics, upgrade your maximum ammo and your recovery time on the steel bomb, so that you can use it for longer and wait for a shorter time to use it again. Upgrade your attack power for it, and for the standard steel daggers which are your best backup weapon (the ice axe doesn’t do enough damage to be a great weapon) and you’ll never lose.

Bombs are great against boss characters too. Bosses appear every 10th level, and when they do, start aiming your bombs at them, and when the bombs hit them, the blast radius will take care of almost all of the other minor enemies who pop up too. Use magic to take care of the ones that the bombs miss.

Get more coins by doing two things. Upgrade your castle, because the higher the level that your castle is, the more coins you’ll earn from every battle. Second, upgrade your warrior, because this will directly increase by percentage the coin total that you earn from each round.
