The special pieces in this game can be activated by making a match of four or five in a row, five in an L- or T- or +-shape, or by making a 2×2 block of pieces. Four in a row makes a line-clearing piece, while five in a shape makes a bomb piece and five in a row makes a rainbow piece, which clears out all of one color. 2×2 makes a frosting pepper piece that, when tapped, automatically clears out a space that leads to your goal.
Even better than merely using a special piece is to mix two of the special pieces together. Do this for varying effects- for example, mixing two bombs makes a 5×5 blast, and mixing a line and a bomb makes a huge blast that takes out a 3-wide line horizontally and vertically. Mixing two rainbow pieces together blows up the entire stage. Mixing a special piece of another kind with a rainbow piece turns all pieces of the same color into that special piece, which can be even more effective than the two-rainbow mix.
After the first two hours of the game, your lives will go to 5. If you want to get more lives, you have to wait for half an hour, or to circumvent that, you can ask your friends on Facebook for more lives. In addition, you can also set the time ahead on the phone or tablet that you are playing on, in order to get more lives right away without having to ask people.
