Despicable Me: Minion Rush Tips & Tricks Guide: Cheats, Hints and Strategies

Despicable Me: Minion Rush is a new endless runner game for the iPhone, iPad, Android, and iPod Touch. You pay as one of the minions whose goal is to become minion of the month (and eventually minion of the year). In addition to running as far as you can and scoring as many points as possible, you also collect bananas and tokens, as well as knock off various bosses to advance to the next level, such as Vector and Meena. Read on for some tips and tricks for Despicable Me: Minion Rush!

To get a higher score, knock off more minions or get more bananas, the simple rule is to stop focusing too hard on collecting bananas or minions and simply try to run as far as possible. If anything, concentrate more on the bananas, because the bananas typically go around obstacles. So follow the trail of bananas to run a long distance.

Minions are typically riskier, but they can increase your score multiplier for every three of them that you knock out. You can hit the ones on the ground fairly easily, but if you have two on the ground carrying an obstacle, roll through it, and if you have a minion up in the air, jump up and hit it to collect a bonus for it. Minions in the lab who are immediately before or after a rocket can be collected, just as long as you time your jumps or your swipes so that you near-miss and narrowly avoid the obstacle.

You can speed up the time that the revive bar drops by tapping outside of the screen rapidly until the bar runs out. Or you can get more tokens for free by watching the videos in the “buy tokens” menu.

Save your bananas for when an upgrade is required to complete a mission, because every time that you complete 3 missions, your base multiplier will increase by one. You can increase your multiplier MASSIVELY with the mega minion power up, or you can collect a ton of bananas with the fluffy unicorn mini game or when you run on the green half pipe (both of which you have to tilt your phone for). So be on the lookout for those.

Once you no longer need to upgrade to complete missions, simply keep upgrading your fluffy unicorn, banana splitter and banana vacuum, since those power ups will pay for themselves just through the sheer quantity of extra bananas you end up collecting.
