Farm Story 2: Top 10 Tricks and Cheats, Part 2

Welcome to the top 5 tips and tricks for Farm Story 2! Click here to go back to tips 6-10 for Farm Story 2.

5) Focus your other expansions on reaching the “unknown” areas.
These include areas such as the fishing hole, the mine, the treehouse, and the pile of junk. Tap on any of them and you can read a little blurb about them. Expand over to them, and you never know what you’ll find. For example, the mine will let you get iron, silver, and gold, which aren’t currencies, but which can then be used in crafting and sold in the market.

4) Increase your Social Ranking as high as possible, as early as possible.
Go to random people’s farms in the “Community” area of the social menu, and help them out by tapping on all of the buildings that have hearts over them. You’ll see the social experience bar increase gradually as you do this. You start with 0 hearts, and can get up to 4 hearts. Since the community area is organized based on social ranking, increasing your ranking will move you to the top of other people’s community lists, ensuring a TON of help from other players.

3) Add as many neighbors as possible.
You can add anyone whose farm you visit, and when they add you back, you will then show up on each other’s neighbors lists. This makes them just a short click away when you want to help them, or when you want them to help you, or when you want to check out each other’s stores.

2) Unlock the News Stand.
This simple little stand is in the same patch of land that you find the Side Store in. Once you fix it, you’ll be able to look at promoted offerings from random people’s stores. Promote your own offerings in order to have them show up in the News Stand for other players. Keep looking here for cheap deals.

1) Resell items in the store at a profit.
Arbitrage the store as much as possible. Sell items above market price, especially when the item requires more work. Buy items (especially supplies for upgrades and expansions) and then sell them at a profit. The profit potential is virtually limitless, and allows you to buy way more buildings, way more expansion gear, and go much further, much more quickly, without having to spend any gems.
