When you are playing as the batter, it can be nearly impossible to figure out when to swing if the computer keeps changing speeds on you, if you don’t know what to look for. What you should look for is watch the ball’s rotation and how it increases in size. It will increase in size faster on a fastball than it will for an offspeed pitch, so use the increase in size to time when you should swing at the pitch.

You begin the game with 100 stars. The most well balanced use for those beginning stars is to trade them in for G Points (this earns you 84,000 of them) and then split the G-points between the glory bat, glory helmet and the glory cleats, if you’re a batter. This will increase your power, contact and speed by 150 points apiece.

In the pitching game, it’s much easier to level up quickly and to earn G Points. To maximize your effectiveness in pitching, keep balls out of the top of the strike zone. Keep them down towards the bottom of the strike zone, because that is when you are the most likely to get ground outs. Change speeds and change pitches often, and move from side to side. Throw just outside of the strike zone as well, because even though you will throw more pitches, you’ll earn far more strikeouts and few, if any, hitters will make contact.

Also, your G points carry over from one game to the other. Since you earn G Points, far, far more quickly in the pitching game than you do in the batting game, if you are struggling in the batting mode, then you can go pitch for awhile and earn G Points, then take them over to the batting game and spend your G points on equipping, as well as on upgrades for your character, just as long as you have upgrade stones.
