Guide to Disney Super Speedway for iOS: Tips, tricks, hints, cheats and strategies

Disney Super Speedway is a new racing game starring the cast of Phineas and Ferb, Kick Buttowski and other Disney cartoons. It’s much like the Disney equivalent of the Mario Kart Series, with various 3D race courses and power ups that you can use to boost your speed or to attack the other racers. You can even add various upgrades to your cart to make it faster, to get more traction and to make it handle better. Read on for some tips and tricks for Disney Super Speedway!

When you drift, if you drift long enough to fill up the green bar, you get a speed boost, but try to minimize the amount that you use the drift, because if you let it distract you, you can sometimes end up sliding all around the course rather than taking turns tightly, causing you to get passed. Take turns as tightly as possible and only use the drift every-so-often for that little bit of extra speed boost.

However, start using the drift boost more in the following situations: Once you have mastered taking corners without hitting any walls or oil slicks (the things that slow you down the most), you can drift more if you can still do it without hitting the walls. And if you do hit an oil slick or an oil drum and get stopped, get a drift boost to accelerate instantly, rather than waiting for your cart to have to get up to speed.

If you need to earn some quick coins, go back to one of the easier levels that you have previously earned a gold metal on and start playing it again and again, earning first place every time, and then upping the difficulty level when you’re ready to. The higher the difficulty, the more your coins will be multiplied by. Also, you’ll have new sets of missions every time.

If the frame rate slows down and screws you up, pause the game, hit the iPhone menu button twice and start looking for apps that you can close. The less apps that you have open, the faster the frame rate will be.
