Triple Town is one of the most addicting puzzle games to come to Facebook in years. You build a town on a grid, but you combine 3 or more similar items together to make 1 more valuable item. Three grasses make a bush, three bushes make a tree, three trees make a hut, and so on and so forth. Your goal is to keep your town going as long as possible before you run out of space. Read on for tips and tricks.
When you combine more than three items, especially grasses, you get a better version of the upgraded item, such as a bush or a tree, and you clear out more spaces. Since your most common item is grass, you can even combine 9 squares of grass into one single bush. Simple arrange 8 of them into a + shape, but leave the center space blank. Then take some grass and fill the center space in, and you’ll kill off eight different spaces while turning a center space into a bush with fruit on it. Each turn will equal one extra ‘year’ in the town’s history, which will earn you bonus coins at the end of the game, so this is an excellent way to waste a mass amount of turns and rack up years in your town history.
There’s an easy way to deal with bears and score a lot of points in the process, too. Leave an enclosed space of between 3 and 5 spaces. Five spaces are best for wasting turns but three spaces is best for rapidly earning points. Every time you get a bear, stick it inside the enclosed space. Keep doing this until you fill up every single one of the spaces, at which point the bears will all turn into gravestones, and then all turn into churches. This is a very easy way to score 1,000 points. If you are using 4 or 5 spaces, you can do this again with the same spaces left over. Just make sure that the final bear that you put down is toward the edge of your space grouping so that when you do this later you can put churches next to each other using this technique. Putting three churches together will get you a cathedral, which will earn you a TON of points.
Save your coins and don’t buy items until you absolutely need to because you’re about to lose. Also, use that crystal in the upper left corner and put it to good use. Save the higher end items that you get, such as trees or huts, and use them when you get two of those items on the screen at once, in order to clear them out and score massive points.
