Guide to War of the Fallen for iOS: Tips, tricks, cheats, hints and strategies

War of the Fallen is a new card battling game by Zynga, to follow up their big hit Ayakashi Ghost Guild. This game is much tougher than that one, but less story driven. Even still though, it packs a good bit of strategy gameplay along with enough of a story to make it interesting. You play with cards of multiple races organized into the darkstars, the corrupted, and the iron legion. Read on for some tips and tricks for War of the Fallen!

This is one of the few card battle games where it’s a good idea to enhance your weaker cards. The reason for that is, you get a bonus card after you kill an enemy during a quest, and if you find all of the bonus cards on a map, you will get one reward shardstone which will earn you a free rare card. Weak cards will usually take more than one hit to kill an enemy card, forcing you to use up more energy to get all of the cards that you need for the shardstone. So power up your weaker cards so that you can kill enemy cards more quickly.

The first thing that you should do in this game is to go to the Social menu and add as many friends as you are able to, since each friend that you add gives you two stat points. Without doing this first, you’ll run out of energy very quickly, as well as end up stuck with weak cards. Go to the Invite Allies menu to find a big list of people, and add as many as the game will let you add.

Evolving cards powers them up very nicely, but costs a LOT of money, so don’t be shy about selling cards when you max out at 50/50 cards. That will earn more money than almost anything that you can do.

However, don’t bother evolving your 3 and 4 star cards if you end up with two of the same card, unless you end up forging 3 or 4 of the same card and don’t have anywhere near enough mana to put them all in your lineup at once. The cost isn’t usually worth it for the power up, and usually it will be more beneficial to have a maximum number of rare cards in your lineup.
