How to play Injustice: Gods Among Us for iOS and Android, part 3: FAQ and Beginner’s Guide

Back in part 2 of the Injustice beginner’s guide I told you that you could go to the profiles of your cards to see any card specific bonuses. In addition to that, if you go to the card store and go to the Characters tab, if you tap on the picture on each individual card, you will be able to see what special abilities every card in there has, as well as what special moves. You can use this to prepare for the next battle, and to select which characters to add to your current lineup for strategic reasons before entering a battle.

If you have more than one of the same type of card, then you will be able to promote the more powerful card from normal to elite, which will increase their attack power and their hit points. There are multiple tiers of elite status, and each time that you upgrade, your card will become even more powerful. Make sure that they are exactly the same card – for example, Insurgency Batman can’t power up normal Batman.

Regime and Insurgency relate to the storyline of the console version of the game, in which Superman leads a regime of heroes and Batman is leading the insurgency against Superman’s regime. You can have both regime and insurgency cards on your team at the same time, though.

Different battles will cost different amounts of energy per fight. Most of them will cost one energy point per fight, but the tougher battles and the mystery battles will often cost 2 or more energy per fight. Once a card runs out of energy, you can swap in a new card until the old card gets its energy back.

Under the extras menu, you can find a more detailed FAQ of the game which will answer almost any questions that were not answered on here. You’ll find a list of achievements that you can complete as well, which won’t earn you any bonuses but will increase your status on Game Center.

Finally, if you log into the WBID (Warner Bros ID) section, a whole new list of challenges will pop up, which will earn you massive rewards if you complete them. There are plenty of challenges for both the console and iOS/Android versions of the game here, and in many cases you can do something in one game to earn large bonuses in the other game.

That’s all for the beginner’s guide to Injustice! Happy fighting!
