In battle, you also have a special attack that you can earn by picking up a particular item after an enemy drops it. When you pick up the item, the black-and-white icon to the right of the rest of your attacks will light up in color. This gives you a one-off special attack, and there are six of them that you can collect and use.

Many of the enemy attacks can also be defended against. These are the ones where a shield pops up over your character before the attack is executed against you, and these are executed only by Grumbling characters. To defend against them, double tap the shield when the red grumbling icon is inside it. The closer you to get to the little grumbling icon being completely inside of the shield, the less damage that you will take from the attack.

Each time that you hit an enemy attacker, they will drop hearts, lightning bolts, stars and (occasionally) special attacks. Tap the screen near these dropped items to pick them up, because if they disappear before you pick them up, you will lose them. The hearts will regenerate your monster’s hit points if you pick them up. The stars will give your current fighting monster extra experience points. the lightning will, of course, refill their special attack meter. If you fight a candy monster, they will also drop candy when you hit them.

Back on the island map, every so often, a box will pop up with the MinoCredits logo on it, but this doesn’t happen very often. The occurrence, like all other boxes, is random in nature, but if you tap it, you will get more MinoCredits.

Have fun playing MinoMonsters!
