5) Watch out for the hidden levels that you can unlock in the game.
When you are on the main level select screen, you can scroll all the way to the right, even past all of the worlds that are still locked, in order to find the bonus levels. Then, scroll to the right again once you are in the list of worlds to find all of the time-attack worlds. You can unlock more and more of them as you earn more pots of gold.
4) Watch out for power ups and one ups in various blocks, especially rainbow blocks.
Power ups include the winged shoes, which allow you to run faster, and the pogo shoes which allow you to jump higher. One-ups will, of course, provide you with an extra life for free. Invincibility power ups are also valuable. As noted before, look out for the blocks with the birds because they can earn you the power of every power up at the same time.
3) Watch out for promotions in the App Store.
If you haven’t accepted any free promotions in the App Store, then watch the game’s page until something comes up. Then, delete the game and download it again and you will get the promotion. You may lose your saved game in the process, though, so watch out!
2) Slow down when you want to beat a tougher stage.
Tougher stages require you to stop and think, not just race through the stage as quickly as possible, at least not on the first try. You will have to slow down in order to get a feeling for the stage, explore around, and find all of the possible bonuses.

1) If at first you don’t succeed, keep on trying.
This may sound stupid, but this is really the only way to beat the tough stages. Go back to old stages for more lives if you need to. Make sure to hit all of the check points as you run through the stage so that if you get stuck later on, you don’t have to go back through the stage in order to hit it again.
