Looty Dungeon is a new Crossy-esque dungeon crawler for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal in this game is to get through as many levels as you can, earning coins and unlocking new characters with new types of weapons in the process. The key to getting as far as you can is, more than anything, to watch out for the various obstacles at play. This includes anything from spikes coming out of the floor to the statues that stab you with pitchforks. They all have patterns, so pay attention to the pattern before you start trying to take off through them. The patterns remain at the same speed throughout every level, making it easy to predict their movements.
You have two methods of killing whatever enemies you face. You can either get next to them and attack with your melee weapon or, when applicable, attack with your character’s special power. Characters with long-range attacks are often strongest against these types of enemies, especially those who have a lot of hit points. Unlock them through the gacha whenever you can, and then use them.
You can spin the gacha when you get 500 coins, and a random character will pop out. You start off with the stage 1 collection; once you have that entire collection, then the stage two collection opens up to you, and so on and so forth. Each character performs the same aside from their special moves, but often their special moves can make or break a long run.
Whenever you see the button pop up that offers you free gold in exchange for watching a video, take it. The gold adds up over time, far more than it does by only collecting it from the levels themselves. Complete the quests offered in order to earn gold as well.
Finished with all of your quests? If so, then unfortunately, you have to wait the given time period for new quests to appear; as it is now, there is no way to skip ahead. Even the usual time lapse cheat (setting the time ahead on your phone) doesn’t work. Set push notifications so that you can be notified as soon as a new batch of quests appears.
