Merge Town is a new building-merging puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms. Think of it as an endless version of a Triple Town type of game. You can merge two buildings to create a higher-level building, and through this mechanic you can unlock endless buildings, and even new spots and new towns. The main thing that separates this from similar games is the progress and level-up mechanics. Each time you merge, you’ll gain experience points. Merging two level-one houses will earn you one experience point, merging two level-2 houses will earn you two experience points, and so on and so forth. Each time that you gain an experience level, you will unlock a new spot, and the more new spots you have, the easier it is to build more combinations and let the houses build up over time.
As you unlock more houses, you’ll find more advanced houses in the shop. This is what the money that you build up is used for; so that you can speed up the acquisition of new buildings, instead of having to wait forever in order to get the next highest combinations going.
Once you level up enough and unlock enough new spots, you’ll be able to play in a new town. You can switch over to the new town and start off with new types of buildings. It will play the same way, and it will have a new type of currency, so it won’t be transferrable, but it’s good to do to kill time and let the money build up in your old town.

The ads can get extremely annoying, since they play whenever you enter the shop (making it impossible to load up all of your spots with advanced houses) and whenever you enter a new town. If you want to get rid of the ads for awhile, throw your phone or tablet into airplane mode, and then go back to the game and you’ll be able to play ad-free.
Before you do that though, take advantage of all of the voluntary ad offers that appear. For example, you can double your earnings after a period of being offline by watching a video, or you can double your earnings for two hours while playing actively by watching a video. You can also get specific buildings for free by watching a video in the store, as well.
