Monkey Ropes is a new endless game for the iOS and Android platforms. You play as two monkeys with a rope, and your goal is to jump as far across as many platforms as you can without dying. You can collect coins and unlock new monkeys and even new non-monkey characters, like the penguins in the picture above. Read on for some tips and tricks for Monkey Ropes!
You need coins in order to unlock new characters, and you can earn coins in the levels themselves. A much quicker way to earn coins, though, is by the video ads that give you between 7 and 15 coins apiece. Tap on the penguin to the left side of the shack at the beginning of the level and when the video is complete, you’ll earn between 7 and 15 coins. You can watch as many of these videos as you want as long as you have an internet connection.
Once you earn 100 coins, you will be able to spin for a new set of characters. This isn’t the only way to earn new characters, though. Many of them can be earned by downloading another game. For example, the icy rope climbers can be earned by downloading the game Icy Ropes. Scroll through the character list to see which characters come from downloads, because more are added all the time.
It takes a lot of practice and a lot of timing to be able to go from platform to platform without falling. If one of the monkeys falls but the other one is still standing, you can keep jumping and as long as that one monkey stays standing, you’ll keep moving forward and earning points. Only if your second monkey falls or your first monkey is eaten by a gator will the round end.
Practice landing your back monkey on the same platform as your front monkey using very short jumps. When a platform is moving up and down, you’re going to need to do this quickly if you are going to keep the run going without having your rear monkey hanging off of the back of every platform that you land on.

If your jackpot meter is almost full, then focus on collecting as many coins as you can during your next run. Once the run ends, you’ll earn a free multiplier. You can spin for the multiplier, which can be anywhere between 2x and 100x.
