MonsterCrafter: How to get more energy, experience points and monsters

Following in the footsteps of GunCrafter, MonsterCrafter is the latest in Naquatic’s series of what happens when you mix Minecraft’s graphics and creative side with various aspects of other game genres. In this case, the result is a Pokemon-esque game in which instead of finding different monsters, you create different monsters, resulting in unlimited possibilities. Energy is used to actually engage in battles, while experience points (different types) are used to upgrade both you and your monster, or monsters as you continue to unlock and make more of them. Read on to find out how to get all three of these!

Getting more energy is done either via purchasing it or simply waiting for it to regenerate; however, if you run out of patience, you can always set the time ahead on your phone or tablet. Then, go back to the game and if you set the time ahead enough (an hour and a half is typically a good amount for all of your energy), you will get all of your energy back. You can do this as many times as you want.

Getting more experience points is done by participating in, and winning, battles, depending on which monsters you use in battle. You will earn experience for the player no matter what, but you will earn experience for only the monster that you use in a specific battle, so if you want a team with even levels you’re going to have to switch monsters out every so often. To switch monsters mid-battle, tap on the icon to the right of the health bar (looks like fire/water/plant/etc) and pick a different one. At the end of the battle, experience will be doled out equally to all monsters that have landed at least one attack (no attack = no experience).

With monster experience points, though, it’s possible to gain levels without battling just by spending enough coins. Go to your preferred monster cage (assuming it actually has a monster in it) and tap on the yellow and black biohazard-shaped icon with a coin total next to it. Assuming that you have enough coins, you’ll instantly level up your monster. The necessary coin total drops depending on how many experience points the monster has left before reaching the next level.

Getting more monsters is done in a number of ways. You can unlock more monsters as you (the player) gain levels in the game. Beyond that, there are more monster cages open, but you have to pay coins in order to buy the monster egg. Rare and powerful monster types such as rock, electric and alien will be FAR more expensive than the usual fire, water and plant types.

After you fill up those slots, you’ll have to pay diamonds for even more cages. Then you’ll have to pay coins again for the monster eggs. After that you can hatch the egg and build your monster, just like usual.
