Pocket Trains – FAQ, Walkthrough, Wiki and Beginner’s Guide, Part 3

Welcome to part three of the Pocket Trains beginner’s guide! Click here to go back to part two of the guide.

If you want to see the statistics of any future train, go to the Craft menu and go to the Parts menu. You will see all of the trains that you have parts for, as well as how many parts you have and how many parts you need in order to build a new train. Tap on the Info button and you can see that train’s running speed, base capacity, base fuel quantity, the maximum number of engines it can have, and the maximum number of fuel cars that you can have.

Some trains are tougher to find parts for than others, so you and anyone you know who plays the game can use the “Gift” button to send train parts to each other and to trade train parts, or even make other deals for train parts. As long as you know their friend code and they know your friend code, you and anyone else can send parts to each other. Check out the Options screen to find out what your gift code is.

Going to the Options menu will also allow you to change the music volume, change the sound effects volume, or to back up the entire game on iCloud so you can move it over to a different device, or delete it and then have your game there later on. Tap on the “Delete” button and you can delete your current saved game in order to start brand new.

There are numerous awards that you can get in the “Awards” menu, each of which comes with its own rewards. Tap on any grayed out award to see what you have to do to earn it – for example, to earn the Tiny Tycoon award, you have to run four train stations at the same time.

Many timed events will happen in this game, which are detailed under the Events menu, and train cars that relate to the quest will become available in your jobs menu. Usually, they will involve delivering 75 of a specific train car before the time is up (each event spans a 24 hour period). Completing an event quest can earn great rewards, such as Bux and train crates.

That’s it for the beginner’s guide to Pocket Trains! Enjoy the game!
