Fuel works as the “energy” of the game – each train that you run has its own fuel quantities, and once you run the train out of fuel, you have to wait for it to regenerate before you can send the train out on a run again. Just as before, the time lapse cheat works to put your fuel back to full immediately. Simply set your phone ahead, and then go back to the game, and all of your fuel will have been instantly restored.
When you are looking at the available jobs for a train, be on the lookout for ones which pay you in Bux, or which don’t show that they pay you at all. Jobs that pay in Bux pop up VERY frequently, and no matter what the most expensive job that you have is that pays in coins, the Bux job will always be worth more, considering the exchange rates.
The ones that don’t show that they pay you at all, will actually pay you in crates that contain train parts. Do these jobs to speed up the process of unlocking more and more trains. The more trains that you have, the more runs you can do. Plus, new, more advanced trains that pop up will enable you to do more upgrades than the beginner train, such as having more than one engine on the same train.
Events pop up frequently that involve delivering train cars for some kind of fictional expo or tour. Tap on the menu screen in the event area in order to see what these events are. If you fulfill the requirements of the event, you’ll get huge bonuses, such as special train parts and Bux.
Sell your Bux when the exchange rate is high to maximize the amount of coins that you get per Bux. Selling your Bux is a great way to earn the money to start new railroads and open new paths, and once you’re further into the game, selling your Bux will enable you to buy more continent licenses a LOT more quickly.
