RBGY – The Ultimate Tips, Cheats and Strategy Guide

RBGY is an insanely difficult new puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to rack up the highest score possible simply by tapping the right color, but you have to do it extremely quickly or else you’ll fail. It’s one of those “one last try” games that will have players swearing, sweating and shaking as if they were playing the first version of Flappy Bird all over again. Read on for some tips and tricks for RBGY!

You get one point for every correct color that you tap in a round. You also get an additional combo bonus point for every combo above 2 straight colors that you make. For example, if you make a 10 color combo, you will earn 9 additional bonus points. Once the combo is broken or you lose the stage, these will be added to your total.

The reason that this game is so hard is that the color that you’re supposed to tap next is the word itself, not the color of the word. So if the word “Yellow” pops up and the color of the word “Yellow” is green, then you have to tap yellow, not green. This is more or less difficult depending on how your brain works, but with practice, you will train your brain to see the word, not the color of the word.

Once you’re getting a rhythm with RBGY, your subconscious will take over, and you’ll tap the answer without really thinking about it much. Once you start overthinking it, allow the combo to be broken and take a short breather before restarting again. Struggle through a few missed colors as long as you have to, but don’t miss three colors in a row or you will lose.

Expert mode is INSANELY difficult, but that means you’ll be able to enter the top 100 players in the world just by scoring 20 points or so. Not only will you also have pink and cyan added to the color list, but the colors will go by faster. Playing expert mode is actually an excellent way to improve your performance on normal mode.

Play either one of the modes until you make yourself so frustrated that your performance starts to suffer. Then take a 15 minute break away from the game. When you come back to RBGY, your performance will be better than it was the last time around, and your subconscious will take over a lot more quickly. Keep this routine up and you’ll quickly end up inside of the top 50 players in the world.
