The main thing to do here is to watch out for which side of the board the spikes appear on, regardless of how they are oriented on the board. The spikes usually appear in a pattern, so it is fairly easy to spot them if you know where to look. Focus and concentrate and you’ll be able to see the pattern.
Diamonds are the currency of the game. You can collect them in the levels themselves, but that’s a slow way to do things. After you lose at a level, no matter what the score, you can hit the “reward” button to watch a video ad, which earns you 50 diamonds at the end of the video. Watch it as many times as you want to by hitting the reward button over and over, earning 50 more diamonds every time.

The diamonds won’t show up in your total right away; however, there is no need to be concerned. After you get sick of all of the videos, then start a game and the counter will update. Alternatively, turn the game off and then back on and the counter will update.
Once you have enough diamonds, then go to the store (the shopping cart icon) and you will be able to trade diamonds for new balls. The balls don’t change gameplay at all; more expensive balls are simply a way to get more elaborate patterns and colors. Otherwise, if you don’t care about customization, just leave the store alone.

Surprisingly, there is not one single hacked score on the list of top scores, so all of them are beatable (if extremely difficult) without cheating.
