As you upgrade the throne room, you will be able to build more farms. Just like before, you can have all four farms once your throne room is upgraded to level four. After that, each successive upgrade to the throne room will allow you to upgrade the farms by one more level, and each level adds 2 food per hour to how much they can collect.
If you are running out of storage for your food, upgrade your silo. Similarly, if you run out of storage for your gold or you need to have more gold than you can actually hold, then upgrade your Treasure Chamber. You’ll have to do the latter, especially, in order to continue upgrading the Throne Room, since that is such an expensive upgrade.
Then of course, you will want to do everything possible to keep your gold coins. This is done simply by upgrading your defense as high as possible. Place down as many barricades, obstacles, and defensive towers as possible to stop enemy troops from coming at you. Cluster them together in order to have the best shot at taking down the enemy.
Finally, using the quest mode, you can earn LOADS of free gems in this game. All that you have to do is complete as many quests as possible, just like with the free coins. All of the quests have free coins or gems as rewards, but the vast majority of them will pay you gems in order to complete them.

Also, once you get into the game a little bit, you will unlock the tournaments, which will allow you to earn medals in exchange for prizes. The more medals that you get, the higher the league that you will end up in, and as you earn new league titles, you will earn more and more free gems.
