Shadow Bug Rush is a new endless running game for the iOS and Android based off of the original Shadow Bug game. Your goal is to get as far as possible by attacking various monsters and using them to propel yourself to higher levels, in order to earn the highest score possible and to earn more currency. You can run from side to side by tapping on either side of the screen, but the main movement is done by tapping on the enemies, which will cause you to jump up, through walls and floors, and attack them. Coming off of an attack, you can hold to the left or to the right in order to make your character float in a specific direction. Use this to escape from spike traps below.

In addition to spike traps, you also have to watch out for the buzzsaws at the bottom of the level. Always look for another monster to tap but if there are none at the moment, then run or float in a specific direction in order to try to get more of them to appear on screen.
The currency in the game has two different uses. You can use it to continue on in the level if you die; this costs 250 total currency. Alternatively, you can save it up and then use it to upgrade to a higher level from the main menu. Upgrading will add a bit of extra challenge to the game by unlocking new monsters, but it will also give you a score multiplier, making it much easier to break your high score record.
Some runs are luckier than others. Right from the beginning you’ll know because you will either be able to string together lots of monster attacks, or you will struggle to find the next monster right from the get-go. Spend the currency only if you are in the midst of an excellent run to begin with.
If you have a good internet connection, you can choose to watch a video when you die in order to continue the run, instead of spending the currency. When you die again, you’ll only have the option to spend the currency. When you die a third time, that’s when your run will be over and you will have to start back from the beginning.
