Spartan Wars for Android and iOS Defense Guide: How to defend your city and stop bullying and bloodbaths

When you first start Spartan Wars, you have a beginner’s protection, but it isn’t long before that expires, and you’re left trying to defend yourself against getting raided constantly, and getting your resources stolen by others who are more powerful than you are. There are a large number of strategies that you can use, but bullying is still a huge and frustrating problem, so I have some tips on how to stop that too.

Building up your defenses at the wall and building up your troops in the barracks are the baseline strategies for fighting off attackers, but there are some better ways to do it. First of all, protect your resources diligently. When you get giant resource bonuses from the chance chests, wait until you really need them to use them. Use them to build up your troops in the barracks (moreso than your defenses at the wall). If you’re getting bullied, though, do the following.

While you are building up your army, go to your Army tab in the menu, and make sure that your army is set at “Remain Hidden”. This will make sure that none of them are killed when you are invaded. Build and upgrade your food, wood and stone stores to keep your goods safe. Take the remaining losses, get your resources back, and add more and more troops until your power level exceeds that of your invaders.

Once that’s the case, start having them stand guard, and start building your wall defenses for a more rapid increase in power (don’t build the defenses early, though, as they can’t be hidden, and will be destroyed easily when you are defeated). Invasions will no longer succeed against you with the same kind of frequency, and this can stop bullies in their tracks.

Other tricks include pulling a tactical teleport or a tactical retreat to move your city away from bullies and attackers, although you’ll simply likely get noticed by other bullies and attackers. A tactical teleport is best done by teleporting your city to an area that’s surrounded with abandoned/inactive cities, so you won’t get bothered as often. Also, research defense and training related upgrades in the Arms Center.

Finally, when you hit level 15, you will be able to give and receive bloodbaths to and from other spartan kingdoms. If your power level gets too low, you might become a frequent target of these. So build up as much as you can before you hit level 15.
