Tap Cats: Idle Warfare is a new auto-play RPG for the iOS and Android platforms by Kongregate. Your aim is to quest through level after level with an army of cat warriors, defeating waves of invaders, collecting coins, and racking up gems, media tokens and other goodies. You can even prestige to start the game over again with even more bonuses. Read on for some tips and tricks for Tap Cats: Idle Warfare!
Each cat needs to be upgraded individually to increase their attack power using the coins that you earn from defeating enemies. Tap on one of your cats to bring up the upgrade screen for that specific cat. Hit the x1 button to switch it over to x10, x100 or max upgrade that you can afford if you want to upgrade your cat to the maximum level that you can afford immediately. This is best to do as soon as you equip a new cat out of a cat box.
Hit the video icon and you can watch an advertisement in order to double the coins that you earn for an hour, or in order to automatically execute critical hit attacks for half an hour. Each video also earns you 2 media tokens. Rack up media tokens in the shop and you can eventually use them to purchase rare cats. Go to the Media section of the shop in order to find them. You can also watch a video to reroll a cat box, but you won’t earn media tokens from these videos.
The fastest way to earn free gems is to complete achievements, which can be found in the achievements menu (the one with the icon that looks like a trophy). If it has an exclamation mark next to it, that means that you have rewards to collect. Otherwise, you can still go there to see what you have to do in order to earn your other rewards.
Once you hit world 101 or higher, you will be able to prestige, which earns prestige tokens. You’ll get a free multiplier, plus one prestige token for every world that you have beaten. Prestige tokens can then be spent in the shop for prestige buffs, including higher damage and more gold.

If you want to get through waves without having your phone in front of you, go to your settings menu and set your phone to never sleep, then plug it in to a charger with the game active to get through as many sets as you can while you’re inactive. Otherwise, the game will earn you coins while you are offline but you won’t make it through any waves during that time.
