Throne Wars Walkthrough, Wiki, FAQ and Beginner’s Guide, Part 3

Welcome to part three of the Throne Wars beginner’s guide! Click here to go back to part 2 of the guide.

Battling is where the gameplay really begins – you can grow your city and power it up all you want, but if you aren’t battling, then it doesn’t really matter much. You don’t get any beginner protection, so right off the bat, you can get your city ransacked by other players, and your resources stolen. Luckily, once you get strong enough, you can do the same thing right back.

When you attack, you can send a hero of your choice to spy first, which allows you to learn about what kind of troops and defenses the other player has, as well as what resources they have for you to steal. Then, you can send your troops over to attack. Infantry, cavalry, and archers are strong against their infantry, cavalry and archers, while catapults are best at breaking down the city walls.

It’s even possible to team up with other players, as well. You can send messages to any other player on the map, and you can send resources back and forth with other players. Bookmark other players as well, if you want to easily remember where they are so that you can send aid to each other, or so you can attack them over and over and farm them for resources.

To take the team concept even further, you can join alliances, or create one of your own. Being in an alliance will allow you to devise strategy with other players, send troops and resources back and forth, and very easily dominate other players on the map, especially those who are not in an alliance.

Having multiple cities will allow you to do similar things, except all by yourself. Researching administration, as previously mentioned, will allow you to start a new settlement. You can, of course, build and upgrade all of the same buildings all over again, as well as use every one of your settlements to train troops. Then, you can merge your troops together, for added attack power, or for added defense whenever you detect an attack.

Finally, gems are the premium currency of the game. You can either buy them in the store or earn free gems by gaining experience levels. Gems are mainly used to speed up construction, upgrades, research and troop training.

That’s all for the walkthrough of Throne Wars! Enjoy the game!
