Tinker Island – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Tinker Island is a new exploration, interactive story and resource management game for the iOS and Android platforms by Kongregate. Your goal in this game is to find all of the survivors, explore the island and construct buildings and fight off enemies and dangers that you come across. Read on for some tips and tricks for Tinker Island!

Gems are the premium currency of the game, and the easiest way to get them is by making an in-app purchase. However, if you don’t want to spend any money on the game, you can still load up on free gems. All that you have to do is tap on the box on the corner of your main menu screen and a video will automatically start up. Once it finishes you will earn 2 gems. You can watch these videos 10 times every 24 hours, for a total of 20 free gems per day.

Each of your survivors will have specific stats, four of each. The hourglass is exploration, the hand is foraging, the hammer is building and the sword is fighting. When you have a lot of options ahead of you, it’s recommended to send eveyrone to wherever their highest stat is, unless you really need to speed-explore or to speed up the earnings of resources. Then you can send everyone toward one task if you so choose.

Connect to Facebook and you will not only be able to see where your friends are on the map, if you have friends on FB who play the game. Even if you do not, you still will earn one free bonus survivor as a reward for connecting the game to Facebook.

Every once in awhile, a fight will happen while you are exploring, so with this in mind, make sure that your designated explorers have a good fight rating too. The more people that you have in your party during the time that you are in a fight, the better. The rolls in a fight are random but the numbers can majorly swing a fight your way.

If something odd happens or it seems like the game isn’t doing what it is supposed to, go to the menu and go to support, then you will see the answers to all sorts of problems and questions.
