Baseball Nine – Top Tips, Walkthrough, Cheats, and Strategy Guide

Baseball Nine is a brand new mobile game for the iOS and Android that features big-headed and cute fictional baseball players, built into some of the best baseball sim play that has come out on the platform in years. Your goal is to put together a team, upgrade and modify them to your liking, get silver, gold and platinum players, and then to go out and win games and rise to the top of your league. Read on for some tips and tricks for Baseball Nine!

There’s a ton of different hits that you can do in the game, but for the most part, contact and power are where you’ll stay. Use contact until the opposing pitcher gets tired enough for their stamina bar to drop below the green, then switch to power and wait for a good pitch to come over the plate, and nail it. Bunts are good for sacrifices against pitchers who are tough to get much of a power hit out of.

Once you recruit a player, you’ll be able to upgrade them. Upgrades can only be done to recruited players, not to default players, so recruit one for every position as soon as you can. Sports drinks will allow you to give them experience points, while coins can be used to level them up and, eventually, to increase their rarity tier from bronze to silver to gold to platinum. Coins also allow you to increase a player’s level limit.

You need a lot of coins plus a silver card to upgrade a bronze player to silver, and a gold card to upgrade a player to gold, and a platinum card to upgrade a gold player to platinum. You need a recruit ticket to recruit a new player. All of these can be found in the shop, although if you want to earn them for free, start completing achievements. Recruit tickets are the most common, while platinum cards are the least common.

You start off in the rookie league, but if you make it to league champion, you get promoted to a higher league. You can play in rookie, pro, master, champion, and legend. The higher the league level, the better the available prizes, but the more difficult it will be to actually become the champion of the league.

To finish the game quickly with a surefire win (or an almost surefire win), go to a league game and set everybody to play. Then get out to a big lead early on in the game, and when you have at least a four-run lead, start auto-completing innings until the game is over. You can always go back into the game and play if you need to reverse a bad auto-play inning by your team.
