Battle Decks – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Battle Decks is a new card battling game by CodeMasters and Chillingo. This surprisingly big-budget release takes card strategy to an entirely new level, with a hexagonal board and a nearly unlimited amount of ways to strategize. Your goal is to destroy the enemy’s base while protecting your own base from getting destroyed. Read on for some tips and tricks for Battle Decks!

The battle starts off slowly, with both parties placing their cards on the table, so make sure to load your table up as much as possible and don’t start moving your troops in too quickly. Each space that a troop moves costs one star. Slowly get them surrounding your base, and let the enemy troops come to you so that you can surround and crush them when they do.

One of the easiest ways to do a ton of damage to your base is to first, take a strong card with at least five attack. Place it, then hold it back, and start adding weapon cards to it to increase the attack power. Add around three or so, so that the attack power goes up to 11. Then send it into attack the enemy base and do a huge amount of damage. If you have enough weapon cards, do this with two strong cards.

Other than that, keep the battle fairly slow-paced. Make it a war of attrition, and try to take out as many of the enemy’s cards as you can before you really start hammering the base hard. Go in too quickly and your cards will get surrounded and taken out by the enemy’s cards, which will leave your base wide open to getting smoked.

Spend a lot of time on building your deck, especially when you buy new cards. While it’s very time-consuming due to the sheer amount of cards you have to begin with, it makes all the difference between winning and losing a battle. The earlier that you start messing with your deck, the more that you can start figuring out your winning strategy.

You earn coins each time that you battle, and while it’s not many, coins allow you to buy more packs of cards, including rare and powerful cards. Even if you lose, you still win coins, and once you are up to 1,000 coins, you can buy a new pack. You can buy multiple packs too, but as an IAP only.
