CandyMeleon Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

CandyMeleon is a new endless candy-grabber (made-up genre, but who cares, right?) by BulkyPix for iPhone and iPad, where you play as a chameleon with an insatiable appetite for candy. Collect as many candies as you can, while avoiding the poisonous candies, as well as the other obstacles that tend to pop up every so often on the stage. You can even connect socially via Facebook or Twitter and play against your friends. Read on for some tips and tricks for CandyMeleon!

In the early (slower) parts of the game, stand on the left side of the screen and shoot your tongue up to get the candies more quickly, and pass through the first four levels quickly. This will also enable you to get all of the good candies without having to move around too much for them and possibly miss them. This also helps you avoid the piranhas, which pop up toward the center of the screen, and will take anywhere between one of your hearts and all of your hearts if they get you.

Don’t focus too much on the coins in CandyMeleon, especially later on when the candy starts coming at your rapidly. You’ll get the coins, just concentrate on eating the candy and not missing any of them (the more candy you eat without missing any, the higher your multipliers)

Early on, the only upgrades that you should spend your coins on are the ones which directly earn you more coins (especially upgrading the blue candy to earn more coins from each one). After that, save your coins and use them for the real good upgrades that you unlock as you gain experience levels, such as new chameleons and upgrades to more of the candies that you unlock in the future. Don’t waste coins on new places unless you just want a change in scenery.

To get a bunch of free gems easly, go to the CandyMeleon app store review page and try to find people who post their Facebook information up, so that you can add them and send gems back and forth. Hook it up to a Twitter account and you can earn free coins, too, even if your Twitter account does not have any followers.
