If you are trying to figure out the best use of your resources, first you want to figure out how to maximize your resource earnings. To do that, go to the top right icon two icons away from the settings. This is the upgrade screen. Upgrade your resource-earning buildings as soon as you can afford to do so. Collect from your resource buildings as quickly as you can. The quicker you do this, the faster that you can make up the expenditure.

When you want to speed things along, tap on one of the battles to enter it. Each tap will use one energy. Energy restores quickly, so unless you’re in an hour long fight, you won’t need all of that energy to finish off a battle instantly. It takes about five seconds for one energy to restore. Use each of your cats’ special attacks as soon as their portraits are lit up to do a ton of damage without losing energy.

If you decide to battle actively and then you run out of energy, you can leave the battle and come back whenever you want. The game will say “battle over” but the battle will still show the amount of time left, minus what you knocked off. So you can re-enter the battle whenever you want.
