Crossy Maze – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Crossy Maze is a new game for the iOS and Android platforms by Tigrido, who is far more famous for its Dictator series of games. Your goal here is to go through various mazes, repainting the colors of the squares, finding new rooms and getting as high of a score as possible. You can even unlock new characters. Read on for some tips and tricks for Crossy Maze!

The one thing that trips people up most of the time about this game is the weird control pad. On the control pad it’s easy to make a miscue; however, you can swipe on the control pad instead, and your character will go in the direction of the swipe, not the tap, allowing you to actually look at your character and not the pad when you make a movement.

Monsters will often follow you, so make them follow you far away from the route you need to go, then go the direction that you need to go in order to step on all of the squares. Or, if you have swords, use a sword to kill a monster by swiping into it.

The higher the score that you get, the more characters that you can unlock. Each new character will have different perks; for example, some of them will have more sword or more life, while others will come with new types of weapons. Even if you use a character without swords, though, you can buy more using gold.

Get to the store and you will be able to purchase hearts, coins, or bombs in exchange for gold. Alternatively, if you don’t want to spend gold you can watch a free ad video instead, and then when the video is done, you will earn whatever it is that you would have bought otherwise. You can do this as many times as you want.

If you want to get more gold, the best option is to buy the gold piggy, which gives you 5 times more gold for every coin that you collect. This costs $3.99 or whatever the equivalent in your local currency is. Right now there is no option to watch an ad video for more coins, although that could always be added later on.
