Crowd City is a new iOS and Android game by Voodoo where your goal is to build up the biggest crowd possible within a two-minute time span. You run into people that you see on the street, add them to your crew, and then disassemble smaller players’ crews, then run into them and kill them, all in an effort to become the winner and increase your rank. At first you’ll start off as only one person. Use this time to run up and down the street and sidewalks and recruit everyone that you can. Stay FAR away from more powerful players while you are powering up, because they can very easily recruit your crowd away and drain your power, making it almost impossible to finish in first place at the end of the race.

Once you have 25-35 people, then you can start hunting down smaller players. Even if they don’t have that much of a crowd to take away, hunt them down so that you can eliminate future competition, and so that you can stop the other players from hunting them down first. Be careful if they are close in number to you, because if they recruit a few neutrals while they’re in front of you, you’re toast.

Controls are notoriously annoying in this game, but that’s because the control method is different than in similar games such as Hole.io. Once your character is moving, it runs automatically, so you don’t have to hold in a specific direction in order to get your characters moving. All that you have to do is swipe in a direction, and then let your character go until you want to change directions again.

The best way to avoid getting killed and to avoid losing too many members of your crowd is to run into a small space in between buildings when you are being chased. Your crowd will automatically split itself up to get in between the spaces, and more often than not, your opponents will stop running after you and change direction, because they tend not to want to run into buildings.

Once you do significant damage to a large player’s crowd, they will start running away from you, and it will be harder to do much to them number wise. So instead of going for the full kill, oftentimes the best solution is instead to run after another player whose numbers are high, and skim off a large chunk of their crowd. Repeat as needed until you have a ridiculously huge crowd.
