Disney Princess Majestic Quest is Disney’s latest mobile puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms, in the wake of Frozen Free Fall and Maleficent Free Fall. In this game, though, you also are tasked with rebuilding various princesses’ palaces (such as Jasmine and Ariel) and castles, like in Matchington Mansion or Homescapes, in order to correct damage and customize the royal dwelling.

You can earn coins and stars, manage your lives properly, and play through nearly endless levels of match-3 action. Plus, there are all sorts of boosters that you can get on the way through, as well as keys, stars, coins, and more.

Your main goal is to restore the current home, and to do so, you need stars. To get stars, you need to pass levels; even if you just barely pass them, you’ll still earn the same number of stars per level. You’ll earn more coins, though, the more moves you have left and the more points that you score, so try to finish as quickly as possible.

You have a bunch of special tiles that you can make, like in Candy Crush. If you clear four tiles in a row, you’ll make a rocket that clears one line horizontally or vertically. If you do a 2×2 square, you get a butterfly that auto-clears a piece that needs to be cleared. If you get a T, +, or L, you’ll get a bomb. If you get five in a row, you’ll get a potion that clears out all tiles of one color.

Mixing two special tiles together gives you a specific effect that drastically speeds up what you’re trying to do. Mix a potion with a butterfly to turn all of one color into butterflies. The butterfly army will essentially play the entire level automatically for you. Mix a bomb and a rocket to clear a 3×3 line by a 3×3 line. Mix a potion with any other special tile to turn every tile of one color into a bomb or a rocket. Mix two potions together to clear the whole board in one shot.

Once you clear a level, you will be able to use a star to fix whatever the next item is in the list of things to fix. whenever you fix something, you’ll get a key, and when you get enough keys, you will be able to unlock a new Disney princess. Belle costs 5 keys and Ariel costs 8 keys. Every subsequent princess costs more keys than the previous one.

You can play each level with whichever unlocked princess you want. All that you have to do is switch over to one of their rooms and then play the level using the princess of your choosing. There is not necessarily any difference in the gameplay, through, so this is more of a personal preference thing than anything.

If you just want to find a match three game and don’t care about anything else, then all that you have to do is just play the next level, then the next level, then the next level. If you hit a stopping point, then just use all of the stars that you have collected up until that point, fix up everything you can, then start playing again.

You lose a life every time you lose a level or quit a level after using at least one move. If you use a life, then you have to wait for 30 minutes to get another one. You can also spend coins on it, or you can set the time ahead on your phone (or tablet) in order to try to get some free lives.
