Epic Empire: A Hero’s Quest – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Epic Empire: A Hero’s Quest is the latest from old-school iOS developer Pocket Gems. It’s a combination action RPG/city building game, which is an excellent combination (as old-school SNES games Actraiser and Terranigma once proved). Your goal here is to battle against bandits and other assorted hoodlums, take back the buildings that they stole, and build your own buildings to add to it. Along the way you’ll earn gold coins and starstones, and be able to upgrade your equipment sky high. Read on for some tips and tricks for Epic Empire!

Start constructing and upgrading buildings which earn you gold coins as quickly as possible, so that even when you run out of energy, you always have some gold to come back to. Your progress in the game is almost entirely dependent on upgrading your weapons and armor so that you can be strong enough to beat the latest bandits, and you can’t upgrade without gold coins.

Complete the quests if you are stuck and you don’t know what to do, or simply if you want to earn more starstones. Even aside from starstones, quests are a great way to earn more gold coins and experience points.

When you run out of energy in the middle of clearing out a bandit hideout, stay in the hideout, because if you leave, the bandits will return. However, if you want to use the regenerating bandits to your advantage to prepare for a tougher stage, use up some energy beating up bandits and then leaving, and then returning so that they regenerate. However, it’s best to keep beating quests as quickly as possible so that you can unlock more play modes (such as arena and single player map modes).

If you get bored, start looking around at locked areas of the map. Tap any protruding structure and you will be able to see what it is. Keep questing and you will eventually be able to unlock them. If you are curious, google them to find out what they are, but you might not find results until after the new year since the game is still very new.

Don’t forget to use a little bit of strategy in battles so that you can fight without getting defeated instantly. This is mostly true for projectile-throwers, such as the axe men. Dodge their axes right up until the very moment that you are close enough to them to attack.
