Flippy is a new endless-running game by Ketchapp for the iOS and Android platforms where the goal is to score as many points as possible, unlock a whole cast of new characters, and earn a whole bunch of gems. When you’re running, it’s best to focus on one thing and one thing only, and that is what is ahead of you on the side of the track that you are currently on. This is the surest way to earn a high score. Ignore everything else, because there is so much to focus on that it’s easy to get distracted. Focus on only one thing which is avoiding the red spikes on your side.
The way to earn points is to overtake another runner. Overtake one and you’ll earn one point; overtake two in a row and you’ll earn 1, then 2 points. Overtake 4 in a row and you’ll earn 1, 2, 3, and 4 (for a total of 10) points. Keep the streak alive by not missing any runners and not letting them escape getting run over by you. If you miss a runner, the streak resets. Keep it alive to increase your score at astonishing speed.
There’s a number of other stuff to collect in the stage. Collect all five of the letters in the word “BONUS” and you unlock a bonus round, where everything is a gem for about 30 seconds, allowing you to load up on them at rapid speed. Collect a yellow turbo to shoot forward for about ten seconds. When the turbo is active, then no obstacles will be able to touch you, although it will be a little bit more difficult to keep a long streak of hits going.

You can unlock a ton of different characters in this game, and to do so you will need gems. If you earn 200, you will be able to roll for a new character. All of the characters play the same way, they just look different, and new characters will also show up under the list of shadow runners that you can unlock. Some of these, such as the Anime Guy, are even easter eggs or references to other characters (Anime Guy, for example, is Cloud Strife)
There are a few other ways that you can earn quick gems in this game. One of them is to watch the advertisement videos after every one of your runs, which pop up when you have an internet connection. Collect the free gifts as you earn them, and compete quests in order to earn even more free gems.
