Gods of Rome – Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How To Beat, and Strategy Guide

Gods of Rome is a new Gameloft fighting game that takes the Injustice or Mortal Kombat X style of mobile gameplay and adds the Greco-Roman gods, such as Zeus, Mercury and Hades. Hades’ son Tenebrous is attempting to kill the gods and dominate the world, so you are Mt. Olympus’ last hope. Your goal is to build a party and work through challenge after challenge until you finally get to Tenebrous. Read on for some tips and tricks for Gods of Rome!

You get three main types of attacks in this game – light, medium and heavy punches, as well as two different types of defense – blocking and evading. Use blocks and evades to set up for your attacks, especially after you have already figured out the patterns of your enemies. If you’re just beginning the fight, block and evade, and watch their attack patterns.

You can make combos that are even longer than the official ones by mixing quick and medium punches together. For example, do two jabs, one medium punch, two jabs, one medium punch etc. Each time you switch the punch type the combo will reset, but you can keep the attack going for a long time as long as you are quick enough to notice when they’re about to start hitting you back.

There are a few ways of upgrading your character in this game. One of these is to spend coins and upgrade materials to level up the stats of a character. Upgrade materials can be found in various story mode levels as well as in special events. Ichor is the upgrade material, and there’s Common and Class-Specific Ichor as well as other types.

Nector can be used to rank up fighters when they have reached their maximum upgrade level for the time. Once you use nectar to rank them up, you’ll be able to upgrade them even more with Ichor. Additional, Bonds and Secret skills can be unlocked with characters who are a little bit more on the rare side (E.G. not one-star characters).

If you get sick of a specific fighter or you never use them, you can always choose to sell them. However, it’s best to keep as many fighters as possible around so that if one fighter runs out of energy, you can swap others in, even if you have to go back to old levels so that you can upgrade them.
