The ground floor is the key to getting out of the house, and you can see it right from the beginning of the game. The front door to the house is visible from that beginning staircase, but it’s both barricaded and alarmed. The front room, living room, and kitchen are the main rooms. Check cabinets and dresser drawers for keys and other items that you need. Underneath the upstairs staircase, there is also a closet where you can hide if Granny is after you.

The potential item finds are Cutting Pliers, which cut the alarm to the door through the breaker box and which is used to turn the door alarm lights green. The blue Padlock Key takes the top bar off of the front door. The Hammer takes the bottom bar off of the front door but you have to break it from both sides. The Alarm Code, a piece of paper that says “code”, is used for unlocking the top of the door.
The gold Safe Key opens the basement safe. That contains the red Master Key, which unlocks the handle of the front door. Finally, the wooden Weapons Key unlocks the weapons locker in the secret area on the top floor. This contains a tranquilizer gun which you can shoot at the Granny in order to knock her out for awhile.
Almost all of these items are located inside of cabinets, dressers, microwaves, or essentially any household object that opens but that is too small to climb in. The locations will be randomized every time. The exceptions are the Alarm Code, whcih you will randomly find sticking to a wall, and the Master Key, which is always located inside of the safe in a basement.
If you find an item that you don’t need yet, then you can do one of two things. You can either leave it where it was, or pick it up and then drop it later. The smarter solution is to just leave it, and write the location down if you think you are going to forget it. If you drop it later, then you risk drawing the attention of the Granny by making noise. You won’t make that kind of noise at all if you don’t drop it.
Currently, this is all of the rooms and the objects that are contained within the game. Keep checking back as when the developer puts out a new update to the game, there will likely be more rooms and objects added. When those are added, they will be written about as well.
