Heroes Charge – How to promote, evolve, skill upgrade and enchant your heroes

Heroes Charge has a million different ways to evolve your heroes (figuratively a million, of course) – so much so, in fact, that you can end up with common, run of the mill heroes who are more powerful than some of the rarest in the game, with the right amount of upgrades. You can upgrade them via enchanting, promoting, evolution and skill upgrades. Read on to find out how to do every single one of these upgrades in Heroes Charge!

Promoting your hero is one of the most basic actions, and is the most common one of the bunch, arguably. To promote your hero, you need to do the following. First, your hero needs have equipment in all six of its equipment slots. Once you do that, promotion becomes available in exchange for a small amount of gold.

The promotion makes all of your hero’s equipment disappear and all of your hero’s stats increase, even increasing compared to what they were with full equipment. From there, as you earn more equipment, you can then promote your hero yet again once their equipment slots are all filled up. This cycle can continue over and over and over again.

This won’t upgrade your hero’s skills though. Go to their profile and tap skills, and you’ll be able to upgrade them in exchange for gold coins. First upgrade costs 500, then 1,000, then 1,500, etc. It gets expensive, but only because it’s worth it, because a (for example) level 17 skill will be FAR more powerful than a level one skill. Because they don’t count towards your overall power score, they can be a huge boost to swing the momentum your way in arena battles.

Evolving a hero is done in the same way as summoning the hero in the first place. All that you have to do is get the necessary soul stones. The requirement will be different based on your hero and their star rarity, but once you have them all, pay some gold and your hero will evolve, leading to an increase in rarity and a statistical boost.

Enchanting is unlocked later in the game, and rather than enchanting a hero, you enchant their equipment which boosts the equipment’s stats permanently. You sacrifice other, unwanted equipment in order to power up the equipment that is already being used, and the stat boosts stay when you promote the hero who’s wearing said equipment.
