When your energy runs out, you will either have to wait for it to come back on its own or use an energy pack to restore it immediately – or pray for a level up to restore it. You can also set the time ahead on your phone or tablet to restore your energy immediately. It takes 5 minutes to restore one energy, so if you need all 15 back, set the time ahead by 75 minutes.
The same trick works for any research that you want to finish up immediately. However long the longest form of research takes, set the time ahead by that amount. You can do this however many times you want.
Do research as often as you possibly can. You can use research to increase the maximum amount of coins and embers that you can hold. Research rituals to unlock banishment, evolution and enhancing your cards. Research leadership in order to be able to add more characters to your party.
The battle stages, and the arena especially, can be rather tough to beat, so if you need to gain more experience levels quickly, go back to old battles, and battle weaker enemies in the arena in order to grind for experience points. The more experience that you grind for, the more powerful your party will become.
If you want to capture one of the enemies that you are fighting, drain their hit points as low as you possibly can. The closer that you can get to draining them to just one hit point, the better- send in a weaker party member if you need to. Use the capture spell over and over until you actually catch them, even if the capture chance is only 15-30%, and it will eventually work and catch them.
