Languinis Match & Spell is a new puzzle game for the iOS and Android platforms. This differs from your typical match-3 fare in that first you match gems, then they turn into letters. Then you tap the letters to spell different words, be they really long words or really short words. You have to complete various word-spelling missions in each stage, while trying to get three stars every time. Read on for some tips and tricks for Languinis!
Even when you really don’t need to, always try to spell the longest word possible. Spelling longer words earns you so many points that you will finish stages a whole lot more quickly and you will make your required points far more quickly than you otherwise would have. Shorter words make it harder to get the required points, especially for a three star score.
You’ll get a whole lot of free power ups as you go through the game, mostly as a daily reward for coming back to the game. To maximize what you get, always be sure to log in daily, even on days that you don’t plan to spend a whole lot of time playing. And save up your power ups by not wasting them. That means don’t use them on easy stages or on stages that you are not stuck on.
You have five lives, except that when you lose at a stage, you’re down one. If you run out of all of your lives, your main recourse is to wait half an hour per life for them to return. Otherwise, you can set the time ahead on your phone or tablet in order to get free lives. Set it ahead 2 1/2 hours for a full rejuvenation, or half an hour per life that you want to restore.
If you want to connect the game to Facebook without bugging any one, then set the permissions for who can see your posts from Languinis to “only me” or skip that part of it. You will still be able to collect to Facebook, get the ten free gold coins and enjoy the syncing up of your game progress, but you can do so without telling all of your friends about it now.
If you get bored of playing on your current island, scroll up and check out all of the islands you can unlock in the future. If you run out of islands to play, wait for the developers to add more of them to the game. They will do so each time that they push out a new update.
