Marvel Contest of Champions is a new fighting game for the iOS and Android platforms by Kabam. In this game all of the familiar superheroes have been taken over and put into a compliant state, and are now controlled by the host of an evil contest, and your job is to liberate them by fighting through nearly endless amount of psuedozombie superheroes. While it is tempting to mash buttons (or in this case mash the screen) and go all out on the attack, for tougher enemies you should put up a more defensive minded fight. Block attacks until you get a good opening to attack, and then wail on the enemy fighter until the combo ends and it’s time to block again.
The exception to this is when the opposing fighter uses a strong attack, which will break through you won’t block. However it’s also a slow attack, so when you see the enemy start to charge this attack use your dash move to break it. In fact, the dash move is nearly impossible for enemy fighters to counter so use it’s often in conjunction with your other attacks.
Load up on champions and try to go for two star or higher champions as soon as you possibly can. However, even though the game allows you to sell champions that you don’t want anymore, it is completely pointless to do so. In PVP mode the more champions you have, the more turns that you get, so it works in your favor to keep every single one of them around.
Units are the premium currency of the game. While there are a ton of crystals that you earned throughout the game, the most valuable ones will be purchased with units, so save them and purchase a premium Crystal as soon as you get the chance for a good chance at a rare hero.
One of the most common things that everybody wants to know in this game is how do you get a specific hero. The only answer is to grind it for said hero; there is no way to purchase or win a specific hero. It is all up to random chance and the more you open crystals, the better a chance you will have at getting what you want.
