Micropolis! (iOS/Android) – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats, and Strategies

Micropolis is a new idle city-building game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal here is to manage your time and money in order to build a small but profitable city to larger and larger sizes. You can level up your buildings, buy new buildings to make even more money, and complete various missions and quest to earn boosts and rewards. Read on for some tips and tricks for Micropolis!

There are plenty of indicators to learn, but the game doesn’t give you any sort of tutorial to figure them out. Next to the building’s level is a circular bar – fill this bar to hit a “milestone” which gives you a multiplier. Typically it’s a multiplier of 10. The top bar fills when you have enough money for the next level. The bottom bar (the yellow one) fills gradually and indicates when your next payment will come from the specific building.

You’ll earn a lot of money when you are offline. Spend that money wisely. Tap rapidly on a building and you’ll automatically buy as many of that building as possible, so pick the building which already earns you the most money per level, and send it flying into the stratosphere – or pick the one you’ll get the most milestones out of. Or, even better, tap slowly and spread the money around evenly per building.

Swipe all the way to the right to make the main menu appear. Hit the gift button to claim your gift whenever one is available to claim (the gift box will be gold and not gray). You’ll get boosts often from the gift boxes, so go to the buildings and use them on your most lucrative ones to maximize your earnings.

Hit the hourglass button on the main menu and you’ll see quests that you can complete. This includes specific population totals, leveling up buildings to a certain level, among other things, and when you complete a quest, you’ll be able to come back and collect the reward.

Once your population hits 1,000 for the first time, you will be able to advance to the next era, which will send you back to the beginning but with all kinds of boosts and rewards. The higher you can increase your population before you advance to the next era, the higher your rewards will be when you do advance forward, so wait for as long as possible before advancing whenever at all possible.
