In order to beat a level, you have to know when to accelerate and when to decelerate. Speed upgrades are the most important, of course, since you want to beat levels as quickly as possible. However, you have four other upgrades available, as well. You can upgrade grip, sand tires, and stability, all of which make your vehicle much easier to handle, especially when you upgrade your speed. They help you get up hills, and they help you to not flip over when you hit obstacles.
You can unlock new vehicles as well, but each of those vehicles is tied to a specific point in the game. For example, to unlock the Monster Truck, you need to complete Level 2 Tropical in under a minute and 8 seconds. To unlock the Supercar, you need to finish Level 6 Canyon in under 1:21. Once you unlock them, you can then upgrade them just like your first truck.
There are a ton of video offers that you can take in this game in order to improve. One of the best is for the upgrade screen. If the “free” button appears over an upgrade, then you can watch a video to get that upgrade for free.
