Your main goal in this game is to get your team to the highest score possible. One of the top ways to do this is by engaging in trades. The auction is where you can find some of the best deals. Have a bunch of cash, then go to the auctions menu and scope out players with a high score and a low bid price. You’ll have to keep checking back for awhile before you can find really good deals, but it’s worth it. Pick players with less than a minute left at auction.

Hit the franchise area and you can send your players out on jobs, but the players have to be out of your active lineup in order to participate. Exceptions to this rule include jobs that involve your whole team, which you don’t have to take anyone out of the active lineup for. But for the players who you do have to remove, if they’re your core players, make sure that your team can handle the drop in score, or send your players out on these jobs when you’re about to go to bed or otherwise put the game away for the night.

Another way of improving your team is to engage in training. To train a player, they have to be outside of the active lineup, but training doesn’t take nearly as long as jobs do. You start off with only one improvement slot, but you can unlock other improvement slots by hiring new, more advanced head coaches. New head coaches also improve the maximum player level, so that you can train them to even higher levels.

Enter into tournament play and you’ll be matched up against a bracket of other players. You can still highly improve your team while you’re in the middle of tournament play, so if you get a vastly more powerful player at auction, stick them into your active team and continue with the tournament. The higher you place and the more advanced the tournament is, the better the prizes.

Coins are the premium currency of the game. Hit the store to buy more of them using in-app purchases, or go to the franchise area and engage in jobs. Some of the jobs pay coins, while some of the other ones pay cash. Save up your coins for the “buy now” area of the trades tab, so that you can acquire NBA legends and other premium players.
