PAC-MAN: Ralph Breaks the Maze is a new Pac-Man game for the iOS and Android platforms co-starring Ralph and Felix from Wreck It Ralph, and from the sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet.

This is classic Pac-Man gameplay at its finest, with one slight change, which is that you have Disney characters and characters from the Wreck-it Ralph franchise, who add their own levels, as well as their own twists to each level.

The gameplay in this is classic Pac-Man, but when you begin the demo levels, you’ll see special pieces of wall that look temporary because they are not connected directly to any other stretch of wall.

You can’t get through them at first, but when Ralph breaks them, you can until Felix fixes them. Often the ghosts won’t be able to get through, and will keep bashing against them until either its broken or you eat them.

You can unlock a number of levels, six per new character that you unlock.

Seven dollars is the cost to make that in-app purchase, although the alternative is to enter a 12-digit toy code.

The code comes with a series of toys called Power Pac toys that go with Wreck-it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet.

One Power Pac toy contains a random character and can often be found for less than $6.99, while you can buy a full set of all 11 Power Pacs for around $60, making this the best per-character deal.

Every unlocked Disney hero does something different in the game. Vanellope leaves portals behind that let Pac-Man and the ghosts teleport through them.

Calhoun chases ghosts and turns them blue so that you can eat them. Elsa freezes them for you to eat. Cy-Bugs turn into ghosts and can be eaten with power pellets. Cinderella makes ghosts dance when you eat a glass slipper.

Eeyore sits in random corridors in the maze, blocking them. Grumpy pops up every once in awhile to drop a gem, which lasts longer than a power pellet.

Taffyta will run over and kill everyone, ghosts or Pac-Man. Merida fires arrows at ghosts to shoot them back to their nests.

Mulan shoots of fireworks to knock off ghosts. Rapunzel smacks ghosts with frying pans, turning them blue so that you can eat them.

All of the usual Pac-Man business works here too – for example, eat all pellets to finish the level, and eat power pellets to eat ghosts.

Eat blue ghosts and eat fruits when they appear in order to increase your score. Eat 2 or more ghosts at the same time for a ghost bonus.

Eat two or more fruits in on life for a fruit bonus. Eat 2 or more fruits between deaths for a stage bonus. And if you earn 10k points without dying, you get an extra life.
