Pocket Mine Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Pocket Mine is a new speed-digging game for the iOS and Android platforms. Your goal is to get as far down into the dirt as possible before you pick runs out of hits, and to collect money and gems, as well as artifacts, precious metals and other goodies on the way down. Read on for some tips and tricks for Pocket Mine!

Early on you’ll gain levels so quickly that you’ll always get your energy back before you run out. Later on though, you’ll run out of energy and have to wait for it to come back in order to play again, so if you don’t want to wait, set the time ahead on your phone in order to get all of your energy back. Then go back to the game. If you want, you can then set the time forward again, and your free energy will stay there.

Upgrade the pick as often as possible in order to be able to get more hits with the pick before it breaks. Always pick straight down as much as possible, except to complete quests (which in turn earn you free keys). This allows you to go further down, whereas picking sideways won’t add to your distance total.

Stay away from the sides of the stage. When you pick down, you illuminate a block to the left and to the right of where you are, but if you are all the way on the sides of the stage, then you’ll only be able to illuminate one block at a time, thus leaving you with only half of the advantage.

If you want to get more cash, go for as many rocks as you can in the stages. Go for the chests and boxes as well, because wooden boxes often contain large amounts of gold (or artifacts, which can give you cash bonuses) and chests usually contain either chests or cards. Some chests even contain red gems, which are the premium currency of the game.

In the options menu, you can change the speed of the game from normal to fast to pro. There’s no real reason to put it any higher than simply normal, though, because there are no extra distance or money bonuses for playing on a higher difficulty level.
