Over in the Candidate menu is where you tap to earn money manually, as opposed to the automatic earnings that are brought in by your staff and lobbyists. Tap with more than one finger at a time to earn the maximum amount of money possible. You can tap with as many alternating fingers as you can fit on the phone because all of your taps will register, so you can tap at extreme speeds.

Lobbyists earn you a massive amount of money, but staffers can out-earn even the lobbyists when you purchase enough upgrades. Each staffer will auto-tap for you one time every second, which can add up to a huge amount of cash. Upgrade staffers to get one staffer, and upgrade tap value to add to the amount of money that staffers pull in (as well as to the amount of money that you make from each tap). Make sure to watch the available video ad in the Candidates area (yellow video button) to get 10x the money from each staffer for an hour at a time.

Each follower provides you with bonus money from the lobbyists and staffers and from your own taps. Retire in order to earn followers. You’ll start back over from the beginning but with that extra boost added on, making it a much faster effort to get back to where you were in the first place.

Whenever you retire and claim followers, you will earn endorsement points. In the “more” menu, go to the suitcase to see what kind of permanent upgrades you can purchase using your endorsement points. Your followers themselves will earn you a percentage of income boost, but if you log into Kongregate through the game, that boost will be increased significantly.

Gold is the premium currency in Pocket Politics, and you can earn more of it by going to the shop section and hitting the “free” button. A list of offers will pop up, most of which will be free offers, and when they do, take every one of them that you like that earns gold. Gold can buy upgrades such as permanent boosts or the ability to claim followers without retiring.
